DPS Wildlife Animal Removal 772-204-3240

WILDLIFE TIP OF THE DAY!

Keep your eyes open around your house for holes in your soffit or other exposed areas.  These are perfect entry points for animals to access your attic to make a home.

If you find holes do not fill them in unless you are sure there are not any animals living in your attic.  Animals will create a lot of damage to get out if they are closed in.

WILDLIFE TIP OF THE DAY!

Wondering if that big hole in your yard has an animal living in it?  Put a little bit of dirt and/or some leave in it.  Check it each day to see if it has been moved or disturbed.

Do not fill a hole completely unless you are sure an aniimal is not living it.  A trapped animal can cause a lot of damage.

WILDLIFE TIP OF THE DAY!

During this Thanksgiving holiday we are soooooo thankful for our home.  We are thankful for the shelter it provides to guard us from the weather and we are thankful for the security it provides.

While we are thankful and want to be a blessing to others, hopefully a family of raccoons or other wildlife are not being thankful that your home is providing their shelter.

If animals have made your home their home they can cause extreme damage.  Call DPS if you have wildlife that need to be removed from your home or cleanup to be performed after they are removed.

Although raccoons may look cute, they can be very destructive. Did you know that when a mother raccoon is pregnant and is looking for a place to have her babies, she is more likely to target a home or crawl space. Don't let your home be a target. Call DPS to come and safeguard your home against unwanted animal entry. Once momma raccoon enters your home, she prepares a shelter and nest to have her babies. The contamination of the afterbirth as well as the feces from mom and babies is toxic. DPS is not only a licensed trapper, we are also residential contractors that can help you with the clean up after the loss.

WILDLIFE TIP OF THE DAY!

Snakes are not able to automatically regulate their body temperature. This means that when it is hot they are looking for a cool place to be or when it is cold they are looking for a warm place to be.

It is important to make sure you keep the doors to your house closed at all times. Leaving a door open even while carrying groceries in from the car can give a snake the perfect opportunity to slither on in to get cool or get warm.

WILDLIFE TIP OF THE DAY!

When Raccoons make a home out of your attic they are using it for shelter and a place to sleep.  When they are not sleeping your attic will become a great big litter box for them.  The urine and feces created in your home can become a huge health concern.

Please give DPS Wildlife Animal Removal a call if you think you have raccoons living in your attic.

WILDLIFE TIP OF THE DAY!

Is a raccoon family taking advantage of the warmth and safety of your home?
Raccoons will make a home in your attic to provide warmth and safety for their selves and their young. If a raccoon family is living in your attic extreme damage and cleanup costs can be incurred.
Keep your eyes open for signs that you have a raccoon family sharing your home:
• Obvious trails in grass or other landscaping. The raccoons will use the same route to go from their den to their food source.
• Footprints around your place or other surfaces that raccoons can use to get inside.
• Scratch on trees, near food sources, on rooftops, etc.
• Smudge marks on the side of your house, where a raccoon can easily climb up and down utility pipes or downspouts.
• Feces around the outside of your home or on your roof.
• Noises: growling, snarling, chattering and obvious sounds of movement.
If you believe you have a raccoon family sharing your home call DPS Wildlife Animal Removal. We can humanely remove the animals from your home, provide a quote for cleanup and exclusion work to prevent animals from gaining access in the future and review your insurance policy to determine if the cost is covered under your policy.

WILDLIFE TIP OF THE DAY!

Armadillos seem to be fairly harmless compared to other species of wildlife. While they are not ferocious animals they can cause extreme damage around your home and they are carriers of leprosy.

Armadillos have very sharp claws and burrow underground so they can cause damage to underground pipes and utility lines.

Please keep your eyes open for burrow holes around your home. Be sure not to fill it in-if the animal gets trapped in the hole he could cause a lot of damage.

Serving: Stuart, Palm City, Port Saint Lucie, Hobe Sound, Jupiter, Jupiter Island, Palm Beach Gardens, Fort Pierce, Indiantown, and Okeechobee.

Armadillos can be very destructive, they like to burrow under large structures such as homes or air condition pads. Armadillos can burrow up to 20 ft under the home and once they find their stopping point they are known to burrow up to 20 feet in either direction. What does this mean to you? While tunneling their sharp nails can puncture plumbing pipes under homes they also can cause a void under the home which may lead to structural damage.
