Snakes are not able to automatically regulate their body temperature. This means that when it is hot they are looking for a cool place to be or when it is cold they are looking for a warm place to be.
It is important to make sure you keep the doors to your house closed at all times. Leaving a door open even while carrying groceries in from the car can give a snake the perfect opportunity to slither on in to get cool or get warm.

Armadillos have sharp claws to enable them to dig their burrow. If you have a burrow in your yard do not fill the hole in! They will find a way out, even if that means digging another burrow. Their burrows can go under the slab of your house creating void space.

Thank you to our homeowners association that is having a Silly Dilly (armadillo) war in their neighborhood.
They are working well with the DPS Trapping Team to Plan, Implement, and Execute a plan of attack to get their neighborhood back.
